Real Wedding: Denise+Manuel

One of the best things about this blog is getting to share incredibly special and creative weddings like this one with other brides. It's clear that this bride put a huge amount of effort into putting together a totally one-of-a-kind event. Colleen Dustin Photography did a spectacular job capturing each memorable detail.

How did she make those flowers?
Here's how I made the paper flowers for the tables at the reception. I used a template that I found online (I can't find it now!) for the "gloriosa daisy" and hand-drew the tulip. Then, I followed the instructions of this video for assembly. http://www.paper-source.com/cgi-bin/paper/howto/flower_kit.html
For the chairs at the ceremony I followed instructions from good ol' Martha Stewart. (I think this has been removed from her site though because my bookmark no longer works.) I used the PVA glue for these flowers, too and paper clips to help hold them together while they dried since the petals were glued into an outside petal "cone".
My husband was a big help in cutting all the petals as well! I couldn't have done it without him.
The large poms hanging from the ceiling I ordered from a gal on etsy - http://www.etsy.com/shop/prosttothehost
Have fun!
